New architects have been hired to take on the commercial development of 250 E. Blithedale. This will be a good opportunity for neighbors to share concerns and suggestions. The TPNA will have representation there and we'll report of the outcome. Please join us.
Here is a letter they shared:
----------------------------------------------
Dear Neighbors and Interested Community Members,
We received your email address from Kari Svanstrom, the Senior Planner with the City of Mill Valley, because you expressed interest in the planned project at 250 East Blithedale.
The owners of 250 East Blithedale, Tony and Alvin Chan, have hired Geiszler Architects to bring a fresh approach to their planned rehabilitation and renovation project. Before we begin the design, we’d like to hear from you about your concerns and how we can best minimize impacts on the surrounding neighborhood.
Please join us at an informal meeting at the site on Wed, May 27th at 7pm. We will be in the former Mill Valley Services suite. If you can’t attend but would like to provide input, please feel free to email us with your thoughts.
Hope to see you there.
Sincerely,
Steve Geiszler steve@geiszlerarchitects.com

We are looking for children to join us in walking or riding in wagons in the parade. Our hope is to give each child a balloon to hold and to showcase the beautiful greenery of our neighborhood. We'll be decorating the balloon strings with local flora and fauna. Join us for the pre-parade crafting session. It will be a fun activity to do with your child. Contact: Kate Shaw if you would like to join us. Marchers will meet at Old Mill Park at 9:00 AM.
This year’s theme “MILL VALLEY SALUTES MEMORIAL DAY”
In military traditions of various times and places, there have been numerous methods of performing salutes, using hand gestures, cannon or rifle shots, hoisting of flags, removal of headgear, or other means of showing respect or deference.
Saluting is also used by the Police and Fire Departments. We will be honoring those who gave their lives and those who continue to protect our country, our town and our way of life. Small town pride, Mom, Apple Pie , Freedom, Opportunity and Democracy.
The I Love a Parade Committee’s intention for each years theme is to inspire and support the Mill Valley community to be the best town in America. Our intention this year is very simple. Teach our children to remember and honor the sacrifices made by our friends, sons, daughters, fathers and mothers what they gave, so we could be free! Let’s all play with our friends, neighbors and fellow merchants. Break out the Red White and Blue, build wondrous floats, great window displays and show our kids and country how creativity and working together help to create amazing results.
Currently a member? You're invited to our annual meeting. Join us for a social mixer with food and drinks at 7:30 p.m. At 8:00 p.m. our speaker will begin. This year it is Police Chief, Angel Bernal. He'll discuss the state of Mill Valley and take your questions.
We want to identify new home owners in our area and bring them welcome baskets full of information and goodies. We're also intent on sharing good will. If you have an idea for our group or want to join us and help, please come or contact Kate Shaw kateshaw76@gmail.com.
